What is an IRA 1863? Well, I awoke from a day-off nanna nap to read Don-from-Bullaburra's email that a train run by Indepdent Railways of Australia -- IRA -- was through Bullaburra about 3:15pm. It was 4:05pm when I read this and that's about the running time to Lithgow. So I gathered up Zoe and the dog and we were getting into the car as I heard it... a quick visual check confirmed our train.
We raced--well, at legal speeds--to Wang and took a snap. Zoe fell asleep just at the Mudgee Rd turnoff. We then 'raced' to Tarana... although the Wang-Rydal road saw us stuck behind a 45kmh granny ute.
