Went to get the church mail from our church's PO Box in the ever
decreasing sunlight.

But a smack on the bum was the last thing I anticipated.

My title was intended to read "mail walk" but the proximity of u and I
coupled with trying to blog while pushing a pram containing a 4 year
old gave me an interesting subject that is strangely descriptive of
today's walk.

You see, my three girls and I headed off for after dinner walkkies but
baby was whingey.

So mum and bubs turn back very soon after departure while big girl and
I progress onwards. I claimed the pram for carrying stuff and Zoƫ
decided to ride in it rather than walk.

Anyways, we saw a loaded coal train with 8256-8218-G529-8255 head
through the "Lithgow tunnel" (as Zoe named the Eskbank St bridge) and
then ran into Isabel on Main St. Isabel is a newly widowed lady who
lives opposite the church.

After greeting her we went to the PO Box in Cook St (see picture
above) and as we approached the pedestrian crossing at the end of Cook
St Plaza to cross Main St, I heard a terrible sound from behind.

We'd just passed one of tosn's mentally ill young men using the public
phone at the Post Office and I thought it was he.

Next thing I knew I was being shoulder-barged on my right side and it
felt like my right bum cheek was smacked. It turned out to be an idiot
kid on his bike and I think all it was, judging from his mate's
guffaws, was that he'd lost his balance trying to go across the
crossing too fast!

Anyways, Zoe fell asleep so it was a quiet walk home in the gathering
darkness.
