Hey all! Today was a special day for me. I went to the dentist. It wasn't the first time I went to the dentist in a technical sense... ever since I was a tiny bubba I have been going to the dentist with mummy and daddy and I've sat in the dentist's room while she looked in their mouths. But today was the first time I actually sat in the dentist's chair. An early start
I woke up at 3:30am and wanted to play with daddy. That's how excited I was. But daddy told me firmly to go back to sleep. Then at 5:30 I woke up and hopped into bed with mummy and daddy. Daddy told me later in the day that his arm got sore because I climbed in and slept on his arm, which was under the pillow. I was a bit zonked: mummy and daddy each got up and had showers before I woke up. Daddy made me vegemite toast which I didn't eat and we left home at 7:30. All out all change...Mummy drove us to Waterfall railway station where we parked the car and caught the train. Daddy's ticket cost $11.20 and mummy's $7.60 because the computer changed to 'off peak' between the two purchases even though both tickets said 8:31am on them. Daddy complained to the station man and he said that we were just lucky to get the second one cheap and he could not or would not do anything about it. Daddy rang 131-500 and complained and they were patronisingly sympathetic but he has heard nothing more. I was very excited on the train. Until Heathcote station (the next station). We played mummies, daddies and Zoes on the train with my little dolls. Then we got out at Martin Place. Here is a picture of me outside one of the buildings where my da once worked. I loved running around in Martin Place, after being couped up in that stuffy train. Then we went around the corner and saw the Police Band, funny hats and all! Remembrance DayToday was, of course, Remembrance Day. The 90th Anniversary, no less. It didn't mean much to me, but daddy was excited to see all the diggers, as he called them. 333 George St I had lots of fun in the lift up to the NIB Dental Centre where we go for our dentist stuff, then we went to the dentist's rooms on level 10.
A friend of daddy's from his youth group days is our dentist. Dr Peta Coulter is a Pretty Cool dentist and she really looked after me, as these photos show: Home via Circular QuayAfter seeing Dr Coulter, who said that all of us had good teeth, we caught the train and went past Circular Quay so I could see the big ship.
Then we went home! Love, Zoe.
